We are searching for compassionate volunteers to visit our Hospice patients in their homes in the Upstate area (Greenville, Pickens and Easley). Our Hospice patients suffer from life limiting illnesses and are in the last stages of their lives.
There are many things that a volunteer can do. The greatest is offer companionship. Having someone to talk to is very valuable for someone on their end-of-life journey.
A volunteer can read, cook, play games, do patients nails or hair, especially if they are a trained beautician. They can bring therapy dogs, as well as watch a movie, have a meal, or go for a walk. Many patients enjoy music and would love to have someone sing to them, play an instrument, or listen to music together. Whatever will give the patient enjoyment and purpose.
We are looking for a small commitment of 2-3 hours per week or month. As a Hospice provider, we would be honored for any volunteer to join our compassionate team. We look forward to meeting you.
