MorseLife Hospice is here to provide our patients and their families the support and resources they need at this difficult time. We are looking for individuals who possess the desire to work with those who are on their end-of-life journey. Volunteers offer companionship to the patients through various activities such as talking, reading, and listening to music. Some volunteers may help in light housework or meal preparation. Volunteers are patient advocates, providing a communication bridge between the patient and our organization.
While our campus is located in West Palm Beach, we have a need for volunteers in the south county area. Patients live at home, in skilled nursing, and independent living facilities.
Volunteers who are veterans are needed.
All volunteers must be at least 18, have proof of Covid vaccine, complete a background check, and pass a drug screen. No experience is needed. We will train you.
At MorseLife Hospice you are never alone. We are here to help you as you provide this important service.

Mission Statement
Palm Beach Hospice and Palliative Care by MorseLife provides physical, emotional, social and spiritual support to terminally ill patients, as well as their families and loved ones, while assisting patients and families to live with dignity and comfort as they cope with end of life issues.
Description
We believe that Hospice affirms life. We recognize dying as a process and so our care provides comfort rather than cure. Hospice neither hastens nor postpones death. We provide physical, emotional, and spiritual care to terminally ill persons and their families. Hospice helps the terminally ill person maintain quality of life while helping family members through an extremely stressful time in their lives. Hospice is primarily a home care program, but services may also be provided in a hospital or nursing home. A hospice team helps the patient and family make informed decisions about caregiving, teaches the necessary skills for "hands-on" care and helps with the approaching and actual death. Hospice also offers help through the bereavement period.
Our volunteers provide service in multiple areas:
- Companionship
- Bereavement Support
- Emotional Support
- Vigil Support
- Practical support such as running errands and light housekeeping
- Administrative Support
We also utilize specialty therapies and skills such as
- Pet Therapy
- Music and Art Inclusion Therapy
- Massage Therapy
- Cosmetology
- Law
Assignments are flexible with your schedule. The Hospice staff is here to support you every step of the way.
