As a team member, the CFO provides financial management oversight and collaborates with our president and Executive Management Team (EMT). As a member of the EMT, you will participate in the deliberation of operational, policy, and strategic issues, providing recommendations to our team.

The CFO Oversees the Following:

• Budget preparation and implementation
• Financial record systems
• Maintenance of contracts and agreements
• Collection of revenue and expenditures and preparing monthly financial reports
• Preparation and filing of tax returns
• Preparation of requisite Lee County and Florida reports and paying related fees
• Purchase of commercial insurance, including coverage for D&O, liability, etc.
• Internal or external bookkeeping resources

The team member we seek is likely an experienced financial executive, manager, or accountant sharing their financial knowledge and skills acquired during a professional lifetime.

We are an all-volunteer, nonpolitical, nonprofit Community Engagement Association. We exist to inform residents of key community issues and encourage resident engagement to impact the quality of life in greater Estero favorably.

• Provide transparency by listening to residents, evaluating government plans and other local activities, and communicating informed and collective opinions to residents to build trust
• Conduct research and communicate findings, seek opportunities, offer solutions, and challenge threats, to increase resident engagement
• Organize live and online educational forums providing government and resident decision-makers with expertise, articles, and insight to provide knowledgeable and balanced information
• Collaborate with organizations focused on bettering our environment, water, safety and transportation, community health, and local education to strengthen our voices and increase favorable community impacts.
