ORGANIZATION: Crisis Text Line

Square Logo

Mental health has become a top concern in our communities. As a Crisis Text Line volunteer, you can help provide support to people struggling with anxiety, depression, loneliness, stress, and other difficult situations affecting their mental health. Crisis Text Line provides free, confidential, 24/7, text-message-based support for people in crisis.

Our service is powered by volunteer Crisis Counselors who have received our training and are equipped to support others in their moments of need through active listening techniques, de-escalation strategies and empathy.

Volunteering at Crisis Text Line is a significant and rewarding experience. As you learn how to empathize with people’s unique struggles through collaborative problem solving, you may find yourself developing new skills in communication and self-awareness that can benefit both your personal relationships and professional life while making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Click "I want to help" on our VolunteerMatch post and take a step today towards bettering yourself while making a significant difference in someone else's life!
