Tennova Hospice, an LHC Group company, is looking for a compassionate and dedicated volunteer to help support our bereavement (grief) support services.
In-office opportunities include assisting our Bereavement Coordinator with mailings and phone calls to loved ones of former hospice patients.
Our office hours are Monday-Friday, 8-4:30 pm so a volunteer needs to have daytime availability as well as transportation to our office near Tennova Hospital. An availability of an hour a week is ideal.
Also, during the summer, helping to organize and host our three 1/2-day children's grief camp, Camp Willow Creek, for 10-20 children who have lost a loved one. Camp is held in Clarksville at a local park.
Please note, becoming a volunteer includes a background check, drug screening, TB skin test, 8-10 hours of online education as well as in person training with the Volunteer Manager and Bereavement Coordinator. Online education can take place in our office with our assistance.
