TGR Foundation

Everything at the TGR Learning Lab is about active participation and hands-on learning. Scholars in grades 5-12 experience college-access programs focused on science, technology, engineering and math. Interactive classes allow students to explore a future in almost any career and recognize the importance of attending college.

TGR Learning Lab technology volunteers are needed to help staff supervise and provide minor technical support. Volunteers will work directly with youth in a classroom setting and additional duties as assigned. Volunteers will receive consistent supervision and guidance from supervisor/mentor/staff.

Description

Specific programs of the foundation include the TGR Learning Lab, a one-of-a-kind, 35,000-square-foot education facility custom-built for underserved youth within Southern California. Everything at the TGR Learning Lab is about active participation and hands-on learning. Scholars in grades 5-12 experience college-access programs focused on science, technology, engineering and math. Interactive classes - in subjects ranging from rocketry and marine biology to graphic design and coding - allow students to explore a future in almost any career and recognize the importance of attending college.
