Home of the Sparrow is seeking volunteers to help at our Headquarters location in McHenry.

Volunteer duties and qualifications:

• Answering the front door and greeting visitors
• Answering the phones; answering questions from the community, clients, donors, etc.; making referrals as needed
• Filling orders for our Move-In/Move-Out clients
• Sorting, organizing, and documenting donations
• Helping with general office tasks, clerical work and/or various data entry

Opportunity may include heavy lifting, but is not required.

Shifts available (flexible, with minimum of 4 hours per week):

• Tuesday, 9am - 1pm
• Tuesday, 1pm - 5pm
• Thursday, 1pm - 5pm

Please note this volunteer job is not always busy, so we suggest bringing a book or activity along. Every volunteer is important at Home of the Sparrow. Your time helps provide women and children in our program with the things they need for their journey to self-sufficiency.

Community service hours available on case by case basis.
