Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering at Kentucky Great Writers Series events at the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning on February 7, 6-8:30 pm
The Kentucky Great Writers Series features authors who live or have lived in Kentucky and have one or more works of high literary quality. Reading events take place four times a year. Readers and writers interact with published authors in an intimate atmosphere at the Carnegie Center. Admission is free and the event involves author readings, a Q&A in which the audience can participate, and a book signing afterwards. An average of 60 people typically attend. Volunteers help track the number of attendees, take notes on audience demographics and the event, then after the readings solicit feedback from a few attendees and help with easy clean-up. Sometimes volunteers help set up coffee and extra chairs, or move furniture back into place.
