Help out at New Life Furniture Bank of MA in Walpole!!
Assist in providing gently-used furniture for people transitioning out of homelessness. Volunteers can assist virtually or in person at their Walpole facility.
You choose your activity:
- Furniture Processor: Every piece of furniture that is donated has to be checked and recorded. Volunteers also help inspect, clean and inventory all items. Wed 9-12pm, Sat 8:45-12:15pm.
- Furniture Mover: Work out your arms and do good for the community at the same time. This shift can vary in task! Furniture Movers help receive donations, move furniture into our showroom for clients to choose, or even gather client orders. Wed 9-12pm, Sat 8:45-12:15pm.
- Volunteer Administrative Assistant, Remote with some in-person work expected. Looking to offer support to a growing organization? Tasks will vary and volunteer will be trained on all applications including Google Suite, Microsoft & Kindful. This role will require recurring weekly availability. No administrative experience required, but volunteer must be comfortable with computer. This opportunity is best suited for individuals living in Norfolk County, MA currently. 1 day/week, 10am-1pm on,Tues,, Wed. or Thurs.

Norfolk County RSVP has volunteer opportunities for people aged 55 & over in 28 cities and towns at over 50 volunteer sites. Volunteer opportunities include mentoring pre-release inmates, tutoring elementary school children, drivers for Veterans, meals on wheels and food pantires, friendly visiting, non-profit support services and many more! N.C. RSVP will find the volunteer opportunity that best fits your interests & schedule and impacts the needs that are most critical to our county's communities. N.C. RSVP provides mileage reimbursement, accident & liability insurance, an invitation to our annual recognition event, monthly newsletters, orientation & training.
