About Pratham Education Foundation Over the last 20 years, Pratham has grown to be India's largest NGO working to provide quality education to underprivileged youth and children in over 21 states and union territories across the country, with a range of interventions. Learning with Vodafone is a digital education initiative being implemented by Pratham Education Foundation and funded by Vodafone India Foundation and Indus Towers Limited. The program is an innovative teacher-centric technological intervention that is currently working with more than 4,200 schools across 19 states and reaching out to more than 26,000+ teachers.

In 2019, learning with Vodafone had launched Gurushala which has been envisaged as the one-stop platform for teachers for resources, learnings, and networking. Gurushala offers teachers access to over 60,000+ content pieces, over 130+ online courses on aspects, like pedagogy, classroom management.

About the volunteer

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Taking online classes for students associated with Gurushala. All these students are from low-income or Govt. schools
2. Deciding on the topics to be taught to the students in accordance with their curriculum
3. The minimum number of classes per week is 3 with the maximum being 12

Who can apply

Only those candidates can apply who:

  1. are available for the work-from-home job/internship
  2. can start the work-from-home job/internship from 1st November
  3. are available for duration of 1 month
  4. have relevant skills and interests
  5. can teach Maths, English, Science, Reasoning, Chess, Computer, and Coding.

Gurushala is a non-profit organization catering to the academic needs of teachers and students from all over India. Started as a teacher development organization, Gurushala is now moving towards facilitating learning in students as well. We focus of training teachers with the necessary pedagogical tools required to teach students in the 21st century, while also helping students with their syllabus with the help of experts and volunteers. The website has been created keeping the teachers' needs in mind, and provides them with the necessary tools, resources, and knowledge to be able to teach in the most effective manner!
