On October 9th, the National MS Society is holding its annual Monster Scramble fundraising runs at Rochester's own Mount Hope Cemetery and at Buffalo’s own Holy Cross Cemetery! We are currently looking for community volunteers to help run the event. The Monster Scramble event will offer a 5K and 10K run, as well as a 1-Mile Trick-or-Treat Walk for families.
Historically, this has always been an all-around great community event, and this year we hope to engage community businesses and volunteers even further! Volunteers often serve as general help with parking, race-marshalling, handing out candy and participant prizes, and other typical race needs. Below is a link to our volunteer registration pages and instructions on how to sign up. If you’ve already registered, thank you so much and feel free to disregard this email.
Unloading and distributing supplies, setting up tents, tables, and chairs, hanging banners and signage, decorating tents and tables (heavy lifting required ≤50lbs).

Description
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.
Seeking out and engaging volunteers to the MS cause is at the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers three key fundraising activities: The Bike MS Ride, Walk MS and Walk MS Challenge. The Society also engages volunteers to help influence law-makers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.
