ORGANIZATION: DIRT Corps

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

This October 15th we’re having an extra special work party celebrating Migratory Bird Day! Join us as we restore the urban Madrone forest at Westcrest Park for the benefit of all birds, including those on their way south! As we learn about migratory birds and their role in the environment, we’ll be working to clear the way for Green Seattle Day planting. Official sign-ups for the event are at the links below:

Please bring with you what you will need to be comfortable whilst spending a few hours working outside. Dress in clothed layers for the weather, and consider bringing additional dry, insulating, or waterproof layers.
Remember to bring water, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, or any other accessories to protect yourself from the elements.

Remember that blackberry thorns are sharp and can snag clothing, and that the terrain may be uneven and/or wet.
