VNA Kibble Kitchen Volunteers Needed!

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: VNA Hospice NWI

VNA Kibble Kitchen provides pet food and supplies to VNA Meals on Wheels clients at no cost. We are in need of two volunteers to help make Kibble Kitchen deliveries, because our pet list is growing! Delivering Kibble Kitchen pet food & supplies involves picking up clients orders in our Valparaiso office, then delivering to the clients on your route (usually 4 to 6 deliveries per route). We deliver all over Porter County and you are able to specify what city you’d like to deliver to. Deliveries can be made anytime during the week or weekend, and are generally done once a month. This is a great opportunity for families with children who want to help make a difference on the weekend or after school. These deliveries can be flexible to your schedule which is a bonus! If you are interested in delivering Kibble Kitchen supplies to VNA Meals on Wheels clients, please contact Julie Kissinger (219)531-8030 or jkissinger@vnanwi.org

About VNA Hospice NWI

Location:

501 MARQUETTE ST, VALPARAISO, IN 46383, US

Mission Statement

To be the foremost patient focused provider of aging hospice, palliative, and grief support in Northwest Indiana.

Description

The Visiting Nurse Association of Porter County is a not for profit organization committed to providing the highest quality of care to persons in the community. In 1970, nurses from Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso, Indiana, voiced their concerns about patients who were discharged but still needed medical care. In answer to their plea, the Visiting Nurse Association was founded in September, 1970 to become the first home health care agency in Porter County, offering nursing and physical therapy. Over the years, the VNA has responded to the changing needs of the community by adding services including speech and occupational therapy, home health aide services, nutritional counseling, medical social services and hospice. The VNA continues to provide home and inpatient hospice care, VNA Meals on Wheels, Lifeline, Companion Homemaker and children's grief support at the VNA Phoenix Center.
