Are you passionate about climate justice? Do you believe our government isn’t doing enough to address the climate emergency? A majority of Americans want stronger action from our government.
Democratism is a volunteer-based organization whose goal is to reform the federal election system so that the government fairly represents the people.
Democratism is seeking outreach volunteers to distribute informational materials about the relationship between climate action and the federal election system at the Fridays for Future Climate Strike in New York City on September 23, 2022, 2-4 pm.
Fridays for Future is a youth-led and -organized global climate strike movement, and young people who are able to attend are encouraged to apply for this volunteer opportunity.
Volunteers must be able to attend the event, at Foley Square in lower Manhattan, from 2-4 pm, and must be comfortable approaching activists there, handing out materials, and answering questions.
Volunteers must be ready to communicate with current members of Democratism in advance to learn about the organization’s approach and goals.
