Children Across America, a 501c3 children's educational non profit located in Milford and Avon, MA, We are looking for a volunteer social media manager who can not only consistently post on all platforms but create a plan for more engagement and growth.
Children Across America provides educational programming(STEM) to America's under served children. The Milford office deals with residents of Milford and the surrounding towns of Blackstone Valley as well as Avon/Brockton although we will never turn a child away no matter where they live. It is a 100% volunteer organization and all of our services are provided free of charge.
We need help managing and effectively using al of our social media platforms to grow our organization and convey our mission of free programs to the underserved community. We are also looking to develop relationships with influencers and bloggers with large followings. Recently some of the larger online bloggers and influencers have done fundraisers for nonprofits very successfully, we would to explore this possibility.
Club operates every Saturday school is in session from 9-12. We are also introducing a coding club just for young girls. STEM for young girls is crucial, especially in the minority community. We also work with Minecraft and robotics for the young ones, technology aptitude is critical for these kids and strengthens their math and reading skills. During the months of July and August, this program is 5 days a week. CORI check is required for all volunteers.
This is pretty much a virtual position although we would like you to have conversations with different members of staff, most likely on google meet but an occasional in person meeting may be necessary.

Children Across America is a 501 (c)(3) (EIN 27-0355388), humanitarian organization. Children Across America provides literacy support and preventative healthcare to underserved children in the United States. Its vision is to empower families and children in low income communities. Its unique programs are focused on improving children’s educational excellence and health. The organization partners with local libraries, school systems healthcare advocates and hospitals to ensure children get the full benefit of its programs. We provide a free alternative program to underserved families with students in grades K-5, who can't afford a private tutor, or professional tutoring services such as Kaplan or Kumon.
Description
CAA has a combination of medical and educational programming.
Our main educational program is a literacy program for all children. We also focus on children K-5 grade that come from families that English is not their first language. Our Summer Reading and Math Club (Children's Book Club) and our Saturday Reading and Math club's goal is to raise the level of literacy in America's children. Our Math Clubs are to help develop children's basic math skills. We help all children but our main focus is the underserved population of America. Our signature program is our Summer Reading and Math Club, that runs from July through August and our Saturday Reading and Math Club, that runs each Saturday.
Our main medical program and focus of our medical programming is Health Promotion in motion. This is a immunization and preventative healthcare initiative focused on making sure every child in America is immunized per CDC guidelines and has healthcare coverage. We are a vendor for the State for Mass healthcare signps.
