As a part of it's effort to raise funds for it's community project activities aimed at uplifting others and considering the fact that Volunteers are CENTRAL in the growth and Development of an organization in terms of Impact, Reach and Effectiveness, Development Alert is running active fundraising campaigns on GIVENGAIN Website https://www.givengain.com/c/developmentalert/ and is looking for online Fundraisers who will plan and oversee campaigns and events to raise funds and drive up the organization's Donations.


VOLUNTEER FUNDRAISER ROLE:

The Volunteer will ensure that campaigns (of their choice) are effective by performing the following roles;

  • Sharing the campaign links with wider audience through different channels but not limited to social media.
  • Design promotional materials and increase awareness of the organizations work, goals, and financial needs.
  • Organize and manage online events to promote the fundraising drive
  • Identify and implement fundraising ideas to raise project funds
  • Establish network, Recruit Donors and Support in Granting Writing

Upon successful completion of task (s) of raising funds, the volunteer will;

VISION Development Alert exists to address the Causes of poverty, Biodiversity loss and Marginalization and their Consequence. It will be ensured within communities through: • Implementation of sustainable projects and programs that; • Empower those in need, in which • Developing the capabilities of individuals, families, groups and communities and, • Enhancing the social, economic, political and environmental fabric of society in which • Partnership with likeminded Individuals, Communities, groups and Organizations is paramount.

Description

Development Alert is a registered Community Based Not-for-Profit, Nongovernmental Organization operating in Uganda. Development Alert is involved in Empowering Vulnerable and Poor communities on Livelihoods Improvement and Environmental wellbeing. Founded in 2019, Development Alert is the 2024 Award Winner of the Most Dedicated Local Community-Based Support Organization-Uganda by UK’s based Publisher Acquisition International- https://www.acquisition-international.com/winners/development-alert/.

AREA OF FOCUS

1) Education (sponsorship, supply of scholastic materials, promoting literacy, construction of school infrastructure among others).
2) Promoting access to clean and safe water.
3) Economic Empowerment.
4) Promoting Environmental conservation initiatives.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Drilled a Community Borehole, supported over 634 needy school going children, Supplied Nine (9) Brand New Sewing Machines and startup Fabrics. Trained Fifteen (15) young people in life-skills, 10 elderly people, supported 50 members of Kisia Village Savings and Loans Association with startup funding and planted over 7000 trees in partnership with Uganda Wildlife Society.
