ORGANIZATION: CIVIC WORKS

person writing

Democracy itself is under attack worldwide. This opportunity is to interview local pro-democracy activists - in the United States and globally - to highlight effective efforts to preserve democratic forms of government.

This might include interviews with those involved in the Chilean constitutional convention, and it might include interviews of young people engaged in voter registration in the United States, or others who went on a hunger strike to support the Voting Rights Act. It might include articles about Internet shutoff in Tigray or follow up on the youth movement in Sudan.

We want to know what makes people feel strongly about defending or fighting for their right to a democratic form of government, and what people are doing about it.

About CIVIC WORKS

Location:

10923 Progress Court #3326, Rancho Cordova, CA 95741, US

Mission Statement

We created civ.works as a platform for all of us to work together to overcome the corrupting influence of money in politics. Together we can address bad policy, legislation and to hold all of our elected officials accountable. For democracy to work -our government must represent "We the People". civ.works: Together. We can.

Description

civ.works is a privacy protected social platform built for meaningful civic action.

The concept of civ.works is to finally provide a societal machine to stand up against something created nearly 50 years ago -and begin the process of empowering citizens again. We are building a platform together -against an incredibly mature and well-funded machine. Your volunteer efforts will be helping us collectively build something powerful and important.
