We are looking for a volunteer videographer to work with us on video projects. We are open to your vision and we also have a couple of ideas in mind. We definitely are an incubator for creativity, so we want you to get the most out of this opportunity. You can shoot in the arts center building or on location. We are imagining short segments, but if you have other projects in mind, we’re open to that as well! You’ll be working closely with the Executive Director, other artist members and perhaps board members. Shoots can be scheduled around your availability and we can bulk shoot if that is helpful. Also, we can shoot b-roll footage and make that available to you if you’d prefer (although we’d be using our phones and tablets).
Here are a few ideas we have.
- We’d like to continue doing an artist video series that was started during pandemic shut down.
- We could use promo videos for our non-profit arts organization.
- Promo videos for upcoming art exhibits would be neat.
- TikTok campaign.
- Special events like art exhibit openings and concerts.
- Partnerships with other arts and cultural groups, like poetry.
We can offer you space to shoot if you’d like for your own projects while you are helping us. We are in a 100+ year old building with many odd and spooky rooms. You would also be credited and linked to in video creds, on our website, and on social media (if you choose).
This volunteer position or internship is focused on providing real-world training and an out-of-classroom educational experience. This is an unpaid volunteer position; however, it can also equate to an internship with exchanged hours worked for university credit. We would be happy to make arrangements to accommodate this. Commitment is up to you or can be determined by an internship. This position can be ongoing, but we would like your engagement for at least 2-3 months and we can be flexible around your schedule.
