What's a tool library?
We’re just like a regular library, but with tools instead of books.
The Tacoma Tool Library provides low-cost access to shared tools and other durable goods and encourages re-use, repair, and reduced consumption.
Want to borrow tools? It’s easy and low-cost to become a member. Members can borrow any of our 2,000+ available tools-everything from hammer drills to hand weeders-for two weeks with no charge. Use the tools, clean them, and return them to the library when you’re done. That’s it!
Join us at Fix-it Nights as a GreeterVolunteers welcome community members into the tool library, answering any general questions about Fix-it Nights, determine if the broken item is viable for a fix, help with sign-in and help with setup and breakdown.
