Description

Special Events Coordinator Volunteer

Assist in the development, coordination, and promotion of special activities, events & programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the coordination, promotion & marketing of special events/activities.
  • Works with various committees, staff and Board.
  • Plans and develops concepts for events.
  • Solicits event sponsors and guest speakers.
  • Facilitates the design and creation of program materials.
  • Coordinates event/program communications and post communications.
  • Develops & solicits event feedback tools.

Qualifications:

  • Willing to undergo ongoing training provided by TRUU.
  • Must have access to computer, printer, e-mail or fax machine.
  • Must be a self-starter with a sincere desire to help youth & adults.
  • Experience in leading and/or teaching youth is a plus.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and ability to suggest and implement alternatives.
  • Sensitivity to persons of different educational, economic, cultural or racial backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate with others openly and without judgment.
  • Must have excellent verbal & written communication, organization and inter-personal skills.

2 Shifts

  • morning / 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM EST
  • afternoon / 12:00 PM to 04:00 PM EST

TRUU WITH THE ROBERTS vision is clear ambition: to help every cancer and homeless patient survive, and thrive. Our team is very passionate and has a personal connection to cancer & homelessness along with mental health deeply invested in our mission.

That is why TRUU is dedicated to funding the most cutting -edge research to find a cure, and feed hunger, and find different ways to deal with mental illness along with fighting with cancer and look for other revenues to hold accountable life-saving results. Because we all are in this together no one is left out.

We offer critical advice, support, and assistance to families engaged in this life-altering struggle. Together with our ever-expanding network of local divisions across the country, we offer essential programs and services designed to address the critical needs that families facing this dreaded diagnosis encounter every day.
