Program Leader

Are you currently running something for youth (11-17) and are looking to take it to the next level or have a talent, hobby, or thought of starting something up but just haven’t had a chance or the knowledge to kick it off? WELL...

DuCAP is looking to hire several seasonal Program Leaders who are skilled in developing and running youth-inspired activities and/or seasonal programs for a small group of local youth between the ages of 11-17. For the most part, this is a seasonal part-time position but may be expanded and/or offered other times throughout the year when pre-approved by DuCAP Central.

Up to$100 per pre-approved activity.A maximum of two pre-approved activities per month with a maximum of three months annually. The amount paid per activity will be determined by the type of activity and the skill set/ professional experience of the Program Leader of the approved activity. DuCAP Central may allow additional seasonal opportunities depending of funding availability, past outcomes and present needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee the design and implantation of an activity or seasonal program.
  • Secure a location to run its activity and/or seasonal program.
  • Recruit and maintain at least a minimum of six participants that are between the ages of 11-17 for each activity offered.
  • Having enough volunteers to provide a quality experience that are also background checked.
  • Have participants pre-registered with DuCAP prior to the start of an activity or a seasonal program.
  • Promote your activity or seasonal program with supported by DuCAP branding included.
  • Cover the costs of needed materials, supplies, etc.
  • Fill out a online Program Leader Report shortly after each activity
  • All funded activities should be scheduled to run at a minimum of an hour.
  • Submit a monthly timesheet

PROCESS:

After orientation, we will review your program proposal using our Request form and either approve, deny, or recommend changes if needed.

We would also ask of these steps completed at least 20 days in advance of the beginning of the firstevent unless otherwise approved by DuCAP Central.

  • Serving as an advocate on behalf of Community Committees.
