VOLUNTEERS WANTED! REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

This exciting opportunity will introduce girls and boys to STEM Go-Live science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics careers and fields.

The purpose of this community initiative is to cultivate the interest of young girls and boys in 3rd through 12th to pursue higher education and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics fields.

***Note: The V-Bar is for volunteers only!

A background check is required for all volunteers. No court-ordered volunteers are accepted for this event. If you are selected as a "confirmed background check" volunteer a SPARK STEM team member will reach out to you. All confirmed volunteers are required to complete child sexual abuse awareness training.

Submitting an volunteer application or inquiry does not guarantee placement as a volunteer. Candidates will be accepted on the event or program needs matched with the candidates’ qualifications to meet those requirements as determined during the selection process. Incomplete volunteer applications will not be considered for review. If there is a suitable volunteer opportunity available at the time your application is submitted, you will be contacted by the Volunteer Coordinator. An volunteer interview/orientation, background check, and reference check (references for specific volunteer roles) will be required before any candidate can begin an assignment. All applications will be kept on file for one year.

The National STEM Society, Inc. is a STEM enrichment education, and research institution branded SPARK S.T.E.M(tm) 365 on a mission to cultivate underserved young K-College minds in underrepresented communities across cultures to ignite the 21st-century social response to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics including the Arts in early childhood education through higher education studies to impact STEM education, careers, and fields.

  • Orientation or Training
  • Requirements: Each shift is a 3-4 hour commitment. You have the option to choose more than 1 shift to volunteer. Please check in on arrival and check out at the end of shift. All volunteers will be notified to attend a volunteer orientation.
  • Please notify the event organizer 1 week prior to the event date if you have signed up to volunteer and need to withdraw your participation or change your shift. If you are scheduled for a shift please arrive 30 minute prior to your shift start time.
