Have you been told that you are a great listener, that you bring peace and comfort to those who are with you? Have you been seeking a meaningful way to use this very special ability? If so, then consider talking with us about becoming a Hospice End of Life Doula Volunteer. Receive specialized end of life training (4 days) and work with the LVHN hospice team to bring quality of life to those individuals who are seeking something a little different. Prerequisite is hospice volunteer training and the full screening process with background checks.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • 4 hours per week availability. Training consists of 4 full days with volunteer training first as a pre-requisite
  • Must be available for training. Must have transportation. Must be able to work in partnership with other Doulas to assist patients and their families with end of life needs. Must be comfortable with end of life.
