ORGANIZATION: COMMUNITY PET PROJECT INC

Our Treasurer will oversee the management and reporting of Community Pet Project's finances including reconciling bank statements and managing cash flow. The Treasurer will create and maintain systems for ensuring solvency. The Treasurer will have authority to sign checks and reimbursement expenses. The Treasurer will monitor credit card usage and adhere to petty cash policies set by the board. The Treasurer will be asked to prepare or facilitate the preparation of the annual budget as well as regularly monitor and compare the actual revenues and expenses incurred against such budget. The budget will be approved by the board. The Treasurer will be asked to prepare reports to share with the board. The Treasurer will be responsible for completing, or ensuring the completions of, required financial reporting forms (including the IRS 990) in a timely manner and making these forms available for the board’s review. Previous experience in a similar position is a must!

To assist the pets of veterans, homeless, and at risk by providing basic items including but not limited to food, treats, toys, grooming supplies, flea preventative, and medical financial assistance when available.

Our goal is to keep the pets happy, healthy and with their owners and out of the county shelter. We accomplish these goals by working with local authorities and other organizations. We rely on fundraising and donations.
