Support clinical staff in providing the most advanced care possible to newborns with critical and unique health challenges. Responsibilities include comforting, talking to, singing to and reading to the babies; folding and stocking linens and supplies; organizing and tidying the lounge areas, and; assisting nursing staff with administrative duties such as answering phones, screening visitors, directing family concerns to nurses or processing paperwork. When there are no babies for which to care, volunteers can interact with the families, scrapbook or make name tags for the infants
Volunteers do not enter isolation rooms.
AAH will provide any required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Proper hand hygiene will be taught.
