The is an opportunity to use your crafting skills to help others ! ProMedica Hospice is seeking volunteers to work from home on crafts to help support our hospice patients, and families.

We are seeking help with the following projects:

  • Memory bears and pillows out of patients' clothing for family members
  • Crochet or knit lap blankets
  • Activity blankets/busy blankets (creative freedom sewing project)
  • Painting/ drawing landscapes/scenery, still life to brighten patients' rooms
  • Painting / drawing portraits to be given as gifts to family members as a way to remember their loved one
  • Photography-of patients, family members, to help offer connection

Any other creative gift you are willing to offer ! No matter your skill or level, your craft will be greatly appreciated and find a loving home with a patient on ProMedica's hospice services. If you have an idea for a craft not listed above, please respond to the posting and share your passion!

There is comprehensive training is offered and can be suited to meet your scheduling needs. The opportunity for patient support can make a huge difference to someone who would be otherwise alone.

Description

We provide caring, compassionate end-of-life care to patients and their caregivers throughout the Lehigh Valley area. Patients reside in Skilled Nursing facilities, Assisted Living facilities, and personal residences. Our holistic care is provided by a professional team which includes our Medical Director, RN's, LPN's, CNA's, Social Workers, Bereavement Coordinator, Spiritual Care Coordinators, Volunteer Coordinator, and Volunteers.
