Volunteers are needed to help with programs for National Public Lands Day (Saturday September 24, 2022 10am-2pm). National Public Lands Day is traditionally the nation's largest single-day volunteer effort, and we want people to get out and get involved in their community! Volunteers will help visitors run kid programs. Events include : Animal Olympics (kid activity where they learn about animals and try to compete to act like the animal), Macroinvertebrate Water Quality Testing (take samples of water and look for things with a microscope or hand lens), Junior Ranger (normal JELA badge & the NPS Angler badge), Learn to Fish with Cane Poles for the NPS Angler badge.
