Job Description
Board of Directors - Pride St. Charles

Must be available to make a three minute informal speech at the next scheduled Board of Directors meeting.
This position will obtain, oversee & train volunteers for the annual festival as well as other events throughout the year for PSC. Duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: contacting and obtaining corporate volunteers to cover the festival volunteer positions. Creating a schedule for the day of the festival for each area where volunteers are needed. Updating the SignUp Genius schedule information. Communicating regularly with the program director about volunteer coverage for the festival in the various areas. Provide information to the Creative Director for promotional purposes. This position will also coordinate volunteers for all events that PSC holds throughout the year. The Volunteer Coordinator will develop a line item budget for approval by the BOD. This budget will be maintained throughout the year by the coordinator with the approval of the Program Director.
The Volunteer Coordinator, with Board approval, will work with the program director to update the 21+ training information (as needed), as well as any other training material for volunteers for the festival and other PSC events. The coordinator will schedule mandatory Volunteer training before the festival or other events to review the training material. The coordinator should develop/mentor a team from the Pride Pals, under the direction of the program director, to complete their yearly tasks.
The individual for this position should be flexible, work efficiently under pressure, be proficient with the Google platform (Google drive, mail, calendar, meet, etc.), and possess the ability to communicate effectively orally as well as digitally. Take direction from multiple people and adapt to moving from one task to another efficiently. The ability to be assigned a task and complete it on time. They should also have the ability to develop a line item budget. This individual must be able to work well as a team member as well as a team leader.
Must sign a Code of Conduct. Other duties as assigned by the President or other Board members.
