Assistant Marketing Director (Remote)

Making North Texas a No-Kill community is a big job and as a volunteer-based organization, Dallas Pets Alive is a non-profit organization focused on animal welfare and saving pets. DPA needs a lot of great volunteers to do it. As an Assistant Marketing Director, you will work cross-functionally to support the organization's priorities by developing overall marketing strategy for DPA and managing execution and optimization of the marketing programs .

Team: Marketing

Reports to: Marketing Director

Works with: Marketing Director and Marketing Team

Responsibilities:

• Monitor needs assessments and work with the Marketing Director to design strategies, methodologies, and goals for communication and marketing, including but not limited to creating and managing newsletters, social media, website, blog, press releases and reports to donors and corporations
• Guide and implement comprehensive marketing plans that will help increase brand awareness, engagement, and fundraising efforts
• Brainstorm and to help conceptualize, plan and execute DPA social media marketing campaigns
• Help plan, create, and publish (as needed) content across all social media channels (organic and paid) with a detail-oriented approach
• Assisting with any other duties needed to help drive Dallas Pets Alive!’s mission and support our values

Qualifications/Skills:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Social Media posting experience is a plus
• Be able to use basic graphic creation tool
• Marketing and Graphic Design experience is a plus
• Self-starter, able to create social media content in quick turnaround time
• Teamplayer
• Must not have conflicting associations with similar non-profit organizations or business(es) related to animal welfare

Dallas Pets Alive! Musts:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills to maintain professional level correspondence at all times
• A motivational, can-do attitude to represent Dallas Pets Alive! in a positive manner to our supporters and the general public
• A problem-solving mindset to handle and diffuse challenging situations in a professional manner
• A love for animals and dedication to the cause of animal welfare

Time Commitment: 8-10 hours a week
