Becoming a Virtual Coach - Volunteer

At I'RAISE Girls & Boys International Corporation, our See Her Be Her Program is a free six months youth coaching program open to all Black girls 8-19 years of age in the United States. We are looking for a Professional Black Female Coaches!

• Collaborating with the mentee's parent/guardian to ensure successful outcomes.
• Addressing intergenerational trauma, low self-esteem, and identity issues.
• Encouraging our girls to recognize their strengths and skills and utilize them.
• Promoting positive self-esteem, self-confidence, and skills.
• Encouraging our girls to take a deeper look into the stereotypes they have faced or will face and how to overcome them.
• Cultivating an image of what it means to be a Black girl/woman for them.
• Teaching etiquette and black excellence.
• Providing individual and small-group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students with varying intellectual and artistic abilities, and to accommodate a variety of instructional activities and workshops.

1. Black Female Volunteer. Our See Her Be Her Program is geared towards young black girls. Studies have shown that when students and children see a mentor or coach who look like them, there is a stronger or closer bond
2. Must be 21+ years old and no prior experience is required
3. Commit to at least one coach to mentee session per week, as little as one and a half hour a week and 6 months commitment
4. Flexible weekday volunteer times
5. Complete the required virtual coach orientation and have access to a computer and reliable wifi for online mentoring
6. Agree to the terms of our Coach code of conduct
