Do you live in the greater Tupelo, MS area, want to give back to the Natchez Trace Parkway, and enjoy completing administrative tasks? Then our new and unique volunteer Safety and Occupational Health volunteer position may be for you.
This position will work with the Natchez Trace Parkway's Safety and Occupational Health Office (SOH) under the SOH manager out of Parkway Headquarters in Tupelo, MS. You will have the opportunity to help keep those working at the Natchez Trace Parkway safe and healthy along with the opportunity to work with a variety of different park staff and divisions including SOH, Resource Management, Visitor and Resource Protection, Facility Management, Interpretation and Resource Education, and Administration. The work involves administrative assistance, assistance in preparation of compliance documents, technical writing and research, coordination with park staff, and meeting attendance. There will also be opportunities to conduct sites visit at interpretive site, trails, and maintenance facilities along the Parkway.
There is no housing available for this volunteer opportunity. We are looking for volunteers local to Tupelo, MS who are willing to commit to a minimum of three days a month.
