Position Summary
JAARS Transportation is recruiting qualified individuals or couples to join a team of surveyors whose job it will be to conduct Transportation Needs Assessments (TNAs) in various parts of the world.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct a TNA survey (usually in teams of two) in the location requested and in accordance with the instructions and training provided
- Keep detailed records of activities while conducting surveys
- Deliver a report containing the findings to the Vice President of Transportation Services at JAARS
- Represent JAARS Transportation Services as an ambassador
Position Requirements
- A deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth
- Embrace the vision, mission and core values of JAARS
- Good communication and people skills, able to ask questions and be a good listener
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally
- Culturally sensitive (has attended Intercultural Communication Course (ICC)
- Procedurally oriented and able to follow instructions
- Perform in a standardized and rigorous manner
- Self-starter, works autonomously. Self-Confident
- Available for training on the TNA by the field research specialist who designed the TNA tool

JAARS is a multidisciplinary team of problem-solvers committed to the belief--and the vision--that people’s lives and communities are transformed as they experience God’s Word in their own language.
We are a community of full-time missionaries, dedicated volunteers, and a few employees who work together to accomplish the Great Commission goal of providing Scripture to every people group on earth in a language and form they clearly understand. We do that by supporting Bible translation and language development partners globally, and by working with prayer and financial partners in the United States to help make a range of unique on-the-field solutions possible.
