Do you enjoy building with your hands and have an interest in woodworking?
Hillcrest Health and Rehab is looking for talented volunteers who can build and donate raised garden beds that are wheelchair accessible for our long term care guests. This would be a great project for individuals or a community group looking to enhance the outdoor space for our elders.
Connecting with nature through gardening has numerous proven mental and physical health benefits. Wheelchair accessible garden beds would provide our seniors the opportunity to have fun, connect with each other, and experience all the benefits that come with gardening activities.
