Play a musical instrument?

Save to Favorites

Our Hospice House has a calm, peaceful environment but it's sometimes a bit too peaceful, so we're looking for musicians. Do you play the guitar, violin, portable piano, or other portable instrument? We would like you to visit our House 1-2 times per week for 30 minutes and play music throughout our common areas. If you have a portable piano, you would set that up in our hearth room where your playing could be heard throughout our House.

Some qualities we're looking for:

  • Experienced enough to play a variety of complete songs
  • Song choices would be yours (with some restrictions)
  • A sense of responsibility/commitment - please come when you're scheduled to be there
  • Able to work independently - you will not be micromanaged
  • Be presentable - wear clean clothes and have good hygiene
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

About Olathe Health

20333 W 151st St, Olathe, KS 66061, US

Mission Statement

Olathe Health is focused on improving the health of all individuals in the communities we serve by providing compassionate, quality healthcare in an environment of trust and collaboration.

Olathe Health Ambassadors, what we like to call our volunteers, work in both clinical and non-clinical areas. Their talents are used at information desks, reception areas, patient registration, surgery family room, business offices, hospice care, and the Gift Shops - just to name a few. They also help with special projects such as Community Blood Drives and fundraising events.

At Olathe Health, our Ambassadors and staff work together to make each patient's stay as comfortable as possible.
