ORGANIZATION: PalsNPets

QUICK OVERVIEW

Most Human Shelters do not allow pets. Leaving an unsheltered pet owner to have to decide between shelter and their best furry friend. PalsNPets offers pet supportive services to human shelters so people with pets on the streets can enter shelters together! One of our supportive programs onsite in human shelters is Pet Education. This class is a space where unsheltered pet owners can seek help when dealing with difficult issues with their pets or needing help with how to care for their pets.

IMPACT

This is a wonderful program to volunteer for if you are excited to help end homelessness for both people and pets! You will work directly with sheltered residents and their sheltered pets onsite at one of our homeless shelter partner locations. You will get support in educating people on how to properly care for their pets, why pets are so special in all our lives, and connect each pet owner with needed resources such as veterinary care and pet food and supplies.
