**Volunteer Opportunity: Summer Math Tutoring**

BGCM is actively seeking remote math tutors for the summer to help students from Elementary through High School levels, focusing on subjects including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus. This initiative aims to counteract the educational disruptions caused by COVID-19, by providing students with the support and expertise needed to excel in mathematics.

**Job Responsibilities:**
- Deliver virtual instruction across various mathematical disciplines.
- Utilize virtual learning platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet effectively.
- Engage with students in a professional manner to ascertain and address their academic needs.
- Offer supportive and positive responses to student inquiries, providing clear and comprehensive explanations.
- Assist students in understanding assessment questions and guide them through problem-solving processes.
- Prepare and share concise progress reports with both students and parents after each tutoring session.
- Fulfill other related duties as necessary.

**Job Details:**
- Dates: June to August
- Schedule: Flexible, accommodating both the tutor's and the students' availability.
- Location: Remote; eligible for applicants from any US state.

**Job Qualifications and Requirements:**
- Previous experience in teaching or tutoring mathematics is preferred.
- Minimum education requirement is current enrollment in or completion of a bachelor's degree program; high-performing high school students will also be considered.
- Strong command of virtual teaching tools and platforms.
- Excellent multitasking skills to manage different students and learning sessions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and pay close attention to detail.
- Consistent and reliable availability throughout the tutoring period.
