Overview: We are seeking passionate and knowledgeable Virtual Math Tutors to assist a students in Algebra 1. This role is perfect for high school seniors, college students, or graduates who want to gain tutoring experience while helping students succeed in mathematics. Key Responsibilities: Provide virtual tutoring in Algebra 1 through platforms like Zoom or Google Meet. Help the student stay organized and guide them through assignments, homework, and test prep. Ensure daily or weekly review of class notes, concepts, and problem-solving strategies. Encourage good study habits and monitor progress by reviewing the student’s school portal and grades. Available for tutoring during the evening hours, December to May/June December, 3:30-10 PM, Sunday through Friday (you can volunteer for 1-5 days per week, depending on your availability). Ideal Candidates: High school seniors, college students, graduates, or adults who have excelled in Algebra 1 or higher-level mathematics. Patient, with strong communication skills. This is a great opportunity for high school students and seniors, college students, and graduates to gain mentoring experience while making a positive impact. Subjects Include: Algebra Chemistry History Spanish English/ELA Key Responsibilities: Help the student stay organized by checking their school portal, email, and grades daily. Ensure the student reviews class notes and studies each day. Provide reminders and structure for assignments and exams. Offer subject-specific help when needed, especially in Algebra 1 and Chemistry. Meet virtually via platforms like Zoom or Google Meet during the evening hours, 4 -10 PM, Sunday to Friday (1-5 days per week, flexible hours, 2 hour minimum per day). Why This Role Is Important: The goal is to provide consistent support and guidance, ensuring students stay on top of their studies, organizes their workload, and feels confident academically. Requirements: Current high school students (junior/senior level), college students, or recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely. Experience in one or more of the subjects listed above is a plus, but not required. Reliable internet connection and proficiency with virtual platforms (Zoom, Google Meet).
