Position Summary

Teachers are needed at the Missionary Kids (MK) Station Preschool to support our missionary families by loving their young ones.

Provide a safe, developmentally appropriate and nurturing environment for children ages three months to five years old.

At least 21 years old

Position Responsibilities

• Use prepared material from the regular teacher’s curriculum and maintain the class schedule. And use the available resources to prepare lessons and crafts.
• Recognize and teach to each individual child’s needs and parents’ goals
• Assist children with activities of daily life (handwashing, eating, toilet training or diapering)
• Maintain an attractive, well-kept, safe classroom that encourages children to create and explore

Position Requirements

• A deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth
• Embrace the vision, mission and core values of JAARS
• High school degree or equivalent education
• Relate well with children
• Ability to support, engage and provide age-appropriate instruction to two-year-olds
• Work experience in church nurseries/schools, day camps or daycare settings preferred
• Availability and adequate energy to fulfill duties
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety and potential emergency situations
• Criminal background check, child safety interview, child safeguard review and professional references required
