Greetings,
We are currently seeking volunteer English group instructors to teach refugees and new immigrants in online groups or individually. Prior teaching and tutoring experience is required for this role.
The minimum commitment required is 4 months of online tutoring for 3 hours a week. If you are unable to meet this requirement, we kindly ask that you do not apply. In addition, we require completion of a one-hour volunteer orientation and a 5-module volunteer training course to ensure that you are prepared to provide effective support to our learners.
As a tutor/mentor, you will be expected to conduct a pre- and post-needs assessment and track monthly progress. Additionally, you will be required to connect with your students during the week to help them with current issues, build a warm relationship and find necessary resources.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us and we look forward to hearing from you!
Warm regards,
Maya Lane
