One Community Global is working with people around the world to build a model of sustainability. Our team is seeking a kitchen manager to help us finish a recipe and menu plan we've developed for remote food preparation for sustainability and humanitarian tasks. Task would involve management of 1-3 volunteers helping with recipe and menu review and creation, data entry, and finishing a linked spreadsheet we're developing for creating shopping lists from our menus.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have solid leadership skills
- Must have cooking skills, kitchen management, recipe and menu creation experience
- Must have basic excel/Google Sheets experience (expertise is even better)
- Must be available for a minimum of 10 hours a week and for at least 2 months
- Must be self-motivated and comfortable working in a virtual environment
WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT
We are creating open source menus for remote construction of eco-villages, humanitarian aid, and any other situation where people need high-quality food that can be prepared affordably, in large quantities, and with very little waste. We will use these menus in a rotating basis while constructing the 7 sustainable village models described here: www.onecommunityglobal.org/highest-good-housing/
