Pride Month is a great time to take pride in your identities and join with community members. Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park is celebrating pride by working with Macon Pride to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and foster community connection and environmental stewardship. Get involved in trail maintenance and learn more about your resources in the National Park Service. Volunteers will come to the park, learn about LGBTQIA+ history and resources in the park, get a safety orientation, and spend two hours resurfacing the trail, picking up any trash that they see, and cutting overgrown brush back with the guidance of maintenance staff.
