Like military service, hospice care is a team effort. You are invited to join out team.
We pair veteran hospice patients with veteran volunteers. Since they share common military experiences, our volunteers have a unique ability to relate and connect with fellow veterans - providing patients with the compassionate support and service they have earned and deserve.
A NEW OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE
Veteran volunteers help provide both direct and indirect patient support. Examples include:
- Sitting, reminiscing, or reading with patients
- Writing letters
- Watching television/sports or listening to music
- Taking part in veteran recognition ceremonies
- Light house or yard work
- Dog walking
- Assistance in replacing lost military awards
- Providing check-in calls
We are end-of-life care experts and proud partners of the "We Honor Veterans" program. Our Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer Program provides volunteers with the training needed to support military service veterans and their families with in-home hospice care.
If you want to make a big difference in the life of a hospice veteran, please call us today.
