Norfolk County RSVP seeks social and physically fit volunteers age 55 or older, to work a weekly 9 am-12 noon at the the Brockton VA. Wheel the coffee, tea and snack cart down a 'half mile' from the Volunteer building to the Veteran Hospital building and socialize with our Vets while you serve them. M,T,W or F shifts are available. Don't worry about inclement weather as you wheel the cart from volunteer office to hospital building as it all covered. Be prepared though for socializing and exercise as you will bring the coffee cart back to the office at the end of your shift.


Norfolk County RSVP is an AmeriCorps Seniors Program sponsored by the Norfolk County Commissioners, placing adults age 55+ into a variety of volunteer positions.

Norfolk County RSVP has volunteer opportunities for people aged 55 & over in 28 cities and towns at over 50 volunteer sites. Volunteer opportunities include mentoring pre-release inmates, tutoring elementary school children, drivers for Veterans, meals on wheels and food pantires, friendly visiting, non-profit support services and many more! N.C. RSVP will find the volunteer opportunity that best fits your interests & schedule and impacts the needs that are most critical to our county's communities. N.C. RSVP provides mileage reimbursement, accident & liability insurance, an invitation to our annual recognition event, monthly newsletters, orientation & training.
