ORGANIZATION: HAGARS SISTERS INC

Christian Support Group Leaders/Facilitator (3-5 hours/week): Female

Are you a survivor of domestic abuse? Do you want to help other women in this situation? What can you do to help the woman you see berated, belittled or beaten? Hagar’s Sisters has several volunteer opportunities for Christian women to help lead virtual support groups of women experiencing domestic abuse. Volunteers must be survivors themselves and are needed 2 evenings a week to cultivate the emotional and spiritual healing of women impacted by intimate partner abuse, empowering them through care planning, education, and compassionate community. These support groups are typically 1.5 hours in length and take place over Zoom. Due to the security and wellbeing of our clients ('Sisters’), interviews and certification training are necessary. The certification training is free. To request an interview and potential training enrollment, please email Rene at volunteers@hagarssisters.org. We invite you to join us in our mission to assist those in need in our community. Visit us at https://hagarssisters.org for more information.

If you are interested in our services for yourself, please email care@hagarssisters.org, or call 978-266-0053, option 1. You do not need to be a Christian to use our services.

Thank you for your interest!
