Kaiser Hospice cares for patients who are terminally ill or at the end-of-life. After the patient dies, we support family members for one year. We provide grief support services to help them process, move forward, and heal. Part of our services are to provide bereavement education, which comes in the form of monthly mailings. We are looking for a volunteer who can prepare the mailings each week. This involves collating the packets, stuffing them into envelopes, and placing pre-printed labels on the envelopes. The volunteer can do the work in our offices in Santa Clara (near Great America), or can potentially do the work at home.
Our expectation would be 2-3 hours per week, any days that works for you. Our hope is that a volunteer can work for part of June, July, and August, but we are very flexible. And of course, you can take off time for vacations with family and friends. Volunteers 18 or older are welcome. Thank you for considering!
