Do you have a passion for communicating, creating inclusive working environments, and
education? We are searching for an experienced Volunteer Diversity, Equity, andInclusion Strategist to join our team and develop our DIBs program from the ground up.
The STEM Montessori Academy of Canada is a national STEM program open to all
students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The STEM
program educates students from preschool to high school. SMAC specializes in an
advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the
interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math.
Key Responsibilities:
●Develop DEI policies and programming
●Develop and implement DEI staff training
●Work closely with other departments and team managers to ensure that DEI is at
the forefront of all operations
●Conduct surveys and analyse data to identify gaps and measure progress of our
DEI goals
●Work collaboratively with board members, executive leaderships members, and
HR & Marketing teams
Requirements:
●Experience leading diversity and inclusion initiatives
●A degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Communications, or Gender
Studies is an asset
●Knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding access, equity, diversity,
inclusion, implicit bias and institutional racism
●Knowledge and experience facilitating and leading difficult conversations
●Ability to attend Zoom meetings
