ORGANIZATION: Food Share, Inc.

We have a Saturday event on May 14 th with the National Association of Letter carriers. Food Share will be participating in the Nation’s largest one day food drive, National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive. Two years ago, we were able to collect over 120,000 pounds of food in one day with the help of our local letter carriers and our volunteers. We are looking for volunteers to assist with five post office locations.

Volunteers will assist with

  • Building of cardboard bins
  • Volunteers to help direct carriers to positions where volunteers unload carrier trucks
  • All to cheer, clap, and make noise as carriers arrive
  • All help off-load Carrier trucks of bluer bags filled with food into cart
  • All help to empty carts into the bins
