Summary:
Be a part of the largest celebration of positive aging! We are actively seeking volunteers to assist us at our 17th Annual Inspire Positive Aging Awards Luncheon celebration. IPAA is a special event to highlight and honor the contributions of exemplary older adults (60+) throughout King County who have been nominated by their peers, family, colleagues, and the Sound Generations community.
Full Description: Join our Event Volunteer Team! Registration volunteers will check-in guests, assist with nametag distribution, answer any questions guests may have, and review program timing and components guests should plan to participate in.
Meal: All Volunteers will receive a complimentary boxed lunch (Turkey Pesto or Roasted Veggie Wrap) for their service!
Requirements: Should be personable and comfortable with sitting for prolonged periods of time (30-60 min.). The dress code is casual.
COVID-19/Vaccination Policy: Sound Generations requires proof of vaccination for all volunteers. If proof of vaccination is not available, you are required to wear a facial covering.

Sound Generations, established in 1967, is Washington State's most comprehensive non-profit organization that supports people on their aging journey through community connections and accessible services. Established in 1967, we support almost 54,000 older adults, disabled persons, and those who care for them annually in King County.
Description
Our eleven programs operating throughout numerous community and senior center sites are constantly striving to expand the provision of food security, transportation, health & wellness, and assistance services to under served and marginalized populations. We are committed to helping all people, especially those in low-income communities and communities of color, obtain the services they need while feeling included and respected in a community that affirms aging.
