Weed Warrior Training: May 18 - District of Columbia

The Weed Warrior program empowers community members as stewards parkland and natural areas by allowing them to remove invasive plants. The program offers training and ongoing monitoring of WWs. There are no set requirements for work fulfillment, but Weed Warriors are encouraged to complete at least 3-4 hours/month at their work site.
Please note that this training is a TWO PART training . Part 1 will be virtual , while Part 2 will be held in-person outdoors . Both parts of the training are required in order to become a Weed Warrior. National Capital Parks - East's part 2 event will be held on Sunday May 22nd from 10am-1pm in Piscataway Park. Additional locations for the in-person training will be available and discussed at the virtual training.
