Volunteers are needed to help us greet guests at our Opera in the Park event on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the MacAllister Amphitheater in Garfield Park. The concert will start at 7pm. Doors will open at 6pm.
VOLUNTEER SHIFT NEEDS: 5:30 - 7:00pm - Greeters/Ushers: 8 Greeters and Ushers are needed to greet and direct people to seating. Some people will have Priority Seating and will be able to sit in the first 5 front rows of the permanent seating area. The other guests will be able to choose where they want to sit. Ushers/Greeters will assist with general event questions as well.
Attire: Dress how you wish to stay cool as this volunteer need will not be shaded (but professional and comfortable - including shoes).
Volunteers are asked to eat before their shift or bring food with them to eat picnic style after their shift is complete during the concert.

- Must be at least 18
- Volunteers will need to provide their own transportation to Garfield Park for the event. You will need to arrive by 5:30 pm that afternoon. The concert begins at 7pm and will likely last between 90 minutes to two hours.
- Must be able to stand for a reasonable period of time. A friendly smile and welcoming demeanor is a must, as you will be the Ambassadors of Indianapolis Opera!
